Tampa, Fl.                                               February 2015 – October 2015

·            Principle Engineer for a 50K+ migration of users and workstations. 8 dissimilar domains. Inter & Intra forest migrations simultaneously.

·            Lead Engineer to resolve all connectivity, GPO and Active Directory complications related with the target and or source domains throughout the Migrations.

·            Required to develop workarounds and original processes with each domain migration. Must consider each customers distinctive issues and resolve to customers satisfaction while preserving the integrity of the migration.

·            Built original documentation of processes and procedures as they were adapted or required. Provided documentation and training labs for Tier I&2 migration techs.

Systems Architect – Jabil/Extropy

St. Petersburg, Fl. - Contract Position   July 2014 – February 2015

·            Designed, Engineered and Architect of a new domain created by a billion dollar start up. The new domain was to be disentangled from the Jabil domain and rebuilt in new environment consisting of 10 Data Centers in 8 different countries.

·            Engineer approvals and provide Architect solution of new installations of SharePoint 2013, SCCM 2012, SQL2012 , VMware 5.5, AD 2012, Citrix 7.5 farm, Cisco secure ACS, ePO, IPS, FDE, FIM, Cognos, TM1, SAP, Nagios and the other 68 applications SME’s systems plans and recommendations.

·            Responsible as the top Systems Architect for the project to lead the global technical teams to finalize the agreed upon hardware set up in the Data Centers. Rack and stack implementation plan for the hardware on all systems. Created the BOM’s, ordered hardware, Data Center blade design and set up, provided architectural and administrative documentation to the teams at each Data Center.

·            Built and Used ILO’s to build 2012 R2 Servers, install drivers remotely and troubleshoot issues in each of the 10 new Data Centers.

·            Used Quest Migration Manager 8.1 to move AD objects and user accounts to the new domain.

Pinellas Park, Fl. - Contract Position    April 2014 –June 2014

·            Designed, Engineered and Architect of a System Center 2012 in a mixed Hyper-V/VMware environment. This design was based on leveraging the ITIL processes to automate and stabilize the clients IIS websites and its SAAS/IAAS business needs.

·            Designed, Engineered and Architect of a monitoring and management solution utilizing SCOM 2012 R2. Upgrade of Orchestrator from 2012 SP1 to the 2012 R2 version.

·            Designed, Engineered and Architect the incorporation of System Center 2012 into Virtual Machine Manager and Hyper-V. This architectural design uses Dynamic Optimization, IIS, Clustered Shared Volumes, Virtual Networks, Virtual Fiber channel SAN switches over SMB 3.0 and Replicas to achieve integration and high availability across multiple domain sites and heavy traffic websites.

·            Designed, Engineered and Architect of a System Center Service Catalog 2012 in a global multi domain environment. This design was based on leveraging a cloud environment and ITIL processes to automate and empower the owners.

·            Engineered a monitoring solution for Exchange 2010 and Citrix XenApp and Presentation Server 4.5 on the enterprise.

·            Designed, Engineered and Architect the implementation of SCOM 2007 in a global multi domain environment.

·            Developed, implemented and educated staff on the new SOP for Changes/MX’s/ASI’s on the enterprise.

Sr. Engineer/Availability Team Lead

·            Leadership of an eight tech Tier II&III team responsible for maintaining the availability of all the networks, Servers and applications across multiple countries. Technical coordination and implementation of upgrades to multiple enterprise wide applications.

·            Leadership of an eight tech Tier II&III team that helped migrate seven legacy domains into seven new domains. Physical move of the Data Center into a new building. Build out of the Data Center from bare concrete to logical completion.

·            Designed and implemented the new monitoring and management solution for the enterprise. Used SCOM 2007 in the old domain and the new domain. Responsible for leading and providing technical expertise to all outage responses across the enterprise. Immediately develop solutions to previous unidentified issues.

·           Led the team that implemented Forefront Identity Management (FIM) across multiple locations and countries. Worked on successful mitigation or multiple issues with FIM blocking traffic to the Exchange Bridgehead Servers.

·            Creation and development of a library containing the policies, process and procedures to maintain the new seven domain environment across multiple global locations.

·            Engineered and implemented a new architecture in the Simple Sync enterprise wide application to resolve the Exchange GAL updating incorrectly across multiple sites and domains. This LDAP based solution mitigated an issue that left thousands of customers without email.

·            Created a system to track the domain authentication certificates expiration dates. This mitigated unforeseen outages when the certificate expired without notice.

·            Engineered and implemented a solution in the Policy Patrol application to resolve the Exchange email security classifications being applied appropriately. This mitigated an issue that violated several DISA regulations and caused daily email outages to users.

·            Led the team that implemented the upgrade of IIS 6.0 to IIS 7.0 across multiple locations and countries.

·            Upgrade of VMware VSphere 4.0 to 4.1 and 4.1 to the 5.0 client version. Led the technical team that installed VMware View 4.5 and the upgrade to 5.0. The project installed 5,000 virtual desktops. Was responsible for all the technology for monitoring, troubleshooting and administering the VMware View and VMware VSphere environment.

·           Led the team that assisted in the implementation and the upgrade of Exchange 2003 to 2010 across multiple locations and countries.

Kansas City, MO - Contract Position May 2008 to June 1010

·               Management and ownership of 190+ Windows 2003/2008 Servers. Created the schema design of a 190+ server environments in several different domains at the National Information Technology Center. Technical management of high traffic websites using IIS.

·               Management of the 50+ ESX 4.0 virtual servers in the VMware environment for the ESS project. Design of the schema for the VMware Architecture. Led the successful upgrade of the ESX 2.5 VMware server to the 3.0.1 version.

·               Ownership, change control and project management of all software updates and patch management on the Windows OS based servers including, completing a new enterprise installation of WSUS 3.0 to use for patch management. Engineered a solution using local and domain WSUS GPO’s to ensure regulatory compliance for web servers and web based applications.

·               Ownership and administration of the IBM Blade Server hardware and the IBM Director console to manage the 190+ servers. Successful installation of the management modules and seven new chassis’ and seventy six blades in the data center into a virtual environment to host multiple web sites and applications. Assisted in the EMC disk arrays set up of the SAN zoning and masking for the new domain.

·               Directed the project team and techs in implementing and updating the Anti-Virus definitions and clients on all 190+ Windows servers on four domains. Used the Symantec System Center Enterprise Console. Successful upgrade of the Console to the 10.1 version.

·               Ownership, tech lead and project management of a 562,000+ user Windows SharePoint Services environment as the Farm administrator using the Central Administrator 3.0. Accomplished a seamless upgrade to MOSS 2007 from MOSS 2003. Stood up a new SharePoint test environment and a new Index server for crawling the 610,000 accounts across three domains

·               Led the technical team and project that successfully attached fourteen new SAN LUN’s to the VMware and the physical server schema. Virtualization and successful failover deployment of 12 SAN LUN’s on twelve different SAN arrays.
